Mailorder tune if you don't already have one.
Intake, Exhaust, Mailorder Tune are the first three mods I like to see done on these cars.
That and easy stuff like a TB coolant bypass and aluminum driveshaft.
Oh, and an Electric Water Pump
Gears can improve your ET, but they're a bigger investment (parts + labor) to get it done right.
If you do it wrong, it will whine like a banshee.
Quality 1.6 Rockers are good for a little power from the reduced mass and improved efficiency moreso than from the lift.
I prefer Comp ProMags or Crane Golds.

what about the 1.7 scorpions ive read that they are about a 7-10 hp increase over the 1.6s
what all parts would i need for these...
planning on putting a cam in the car when i rebuild...probably at the end of the year... would these be too much for something like the cc305

come from reduced valvetrain mass and improved efficiency. If you want to make more
power (or better yet, accelerate faster) install a cam with geometry that meets your need
(more aggressive lobes, more duration, more overlap). Skip the 305 and grab a 503.
