a4 ,410 gear guys here
any of you guys running 410 gears in an a4 car and if so is this to much gear for an a4 ,no stall yet , problems Im worried about are traction ,and tranny ,would 323s be a better choice I have both ?

What is your purpose of using the car for? If you do more daily driving and hwy/fwy traveling I would stay away from 4.10's and go with 3.73. 3.73's are a all around good gear for the A4. I love mine.

A friend of mine had that setup in his Z28 for a few years during high school and it was daily driven. He loved it and it made it so much more fun to drive...even over my car with an A4 and 3.73s.

I would personally prefer 3.73's for daily drivability, but to each is one's own and that is your call man. I would personally throw some Drag Radials and a Yank SS or Vigilante, but thats just me

go with the 3:73s man...the 4:10s will take your rpms too high to want to drive that thing on the street....the 3:73s will allow you to run good times and still get good mileage on the streets....3:73s are the prefered gear for both man

My 6 speed has 4:10's
I think they help out a 6 speed a lot but there again it depends on your total setup.
You auto guys can run a stall and get rpms out of the hole that us M6 guys can't, so we can go lower gears and get ours closer together and still have the topend of the super deep 50% over 6th gear.
I'm by no means an auto expert, I would stick with what has worked for other guys. I think a 3600 yank and a set of 3:73's would do awesome at the track for you and still be pretty streetable.

Depends on how much power your making! When I was just bolt on's 410's were awesome but with a 100 dry shot I was shifting into overdrive before the qurter mile so I put 342's in it and couldnt be happier.

As mentioned above, depending what the car is for. A 3.73 gear would be great for all around street as well as track oriented car. I run a 4.10 gear on my set up. More of a track car and it rolls on 28" tires.

I run 3.73's which is IMO the best compromise for a car that sees the track and gets driven alot on the street. The 3.73's are even more than I prefer on the highway so I cant imagine what 4.10's would be like. I use to daily drive an hour each way to school with my 3.73's and a Yank SS3600 Stall and that was a real fun combo that performed amazing at the track and was still comfortable on the street.
