tuner/Progammer?!
hey, i just rebuilt my 1995 camaro z28 with the lt1. Its just a little over stock HP, didnt do much. just honed it and decked the block. Over the winter i just put in a ford 9 inch with 411 gears. my question is, with the new gears my mph is is screwed up and i can only go like 90 mph because my speedo is going 115. so it hits the speed limiter. Were do i get this tuner or programmer for the odb1. I tried looking around, couldnt find much, help me out thanks

Yeah get a $300 plug in tuner which is generically designed not for your particular car..
Or you could just get a PCM reflash specifically set up for just your car for half that much.. Did you try www.pcmforless.com??? Or www.pcmperformance.com???

Personally Id go with the Hypertech programmer. Its a bit more expensive but you can change a few things with it. Ive got one and satisfied with it. Look on ebay and you might get lucky and find a used one there.

an email tune requires you have a laptop and the cable that connects from that to the underdash port, plus the software which is usually free to load the PCM file which you buy from a tuner from your laptop to the car's PCM.... you can also do real time datalogging like this and help to refine the tune for your specific mods by emailing this info to the tuner...

Get the cable!!! Well worth it. A lot faster and cheaper to get tunes that way and you will be able to see what is going on with your car, scan codes if there is a problem, etc!!!
I got mine from www.aldlcable.com and the guys over there is awesome and the cable works great.

The Hypertech would be fine if all you needed to do is change for the new rear gears (as long as you bought a used one for ~$50... and don't even think about it for performance gains). But for anything more than that, you should consider a mail order tune or DIY tuning.
