New To The LT1. These Mods Worth It?
Hey all! I just recently bought a 93 Z28, M6, Stripper Car. At least thats what I was told. It has no power windows or locks, no t-tops, but has ac. I have been in the 2nd Gen era of F-Body Cars for a while, and finally got rid of them and got a 4th Gen to play with. Its stock at the moment, but this is a list of what I will be ordering in the next few days here. The reason I am asking if these mods are worth it, is because Im totally new to the LT1 and I dont want to toss money on worthless mods. I just want to get started in the modding community. Also, if anyone has any input on if certain brands of the mods are good/bad or if you know a better brand let me know.
The mods that I would like to purchase:
Moroso CAI
SLP 1LE Elbow
Hooker TB AirFoil
TB Bypass Kit
Hypertech 160 Degree Thermostat
PCMforless.com tune (or whatever is the best)
High Flow Cats (Unsure of brand)
Hooker Aerochamber Catback setup
3" QTP Cutout
Pro 5.0 Shifter (Heard its a good upgrade from stock)
Underdrive Pulley Kit for Crank And Alternator
NGK TR55 Spark Plugs
MSD 8.5 Wires
I dont know what else I can get. I dont have a ton of money to dump on modding right now, I just thought this might be a good start. I dont think I want to NOS it though. What else you guys reccomend?

personally i wouldnt waster your money on a tb bypass kit. i did it myself and jus used stuff around the garage. i would def get som longtube headers, high flow cat, the therm, cold air, airfoil, 5.0 shifter for starting out. u wont really need a tune for those mods. id wait till u get more mods n rly need one.

To be honest, I only really was thinking the tune for the thermostat. I was reading about just getting a manual fan switch, but I didnt really find a good site on the net as to how its done, and how the end result looks. I dont really want to butcher the car, lol.

Moroso CAI - Yes, that should be mod #1
SLP 1LE Elbow - Not necessary
Hooker TB AirFoil - Controversial
TB Bypass Kit - You don't need a kit, just some rubber hose, a coupler, and some clamps
Hypertech 160 Degree Thermostat - Good
PCMforless.com tune (or whatever is the best) - AFTER LT headers
High Flow Cats (Unsure of brand) - Won't see much
Hooker Aerochamber Catback setup - Good, I like Magnaflow though
3" QTP Cutout - Good, look into DMH
Pro 5.0 Shifter (Heard its a good upgrade from stock) - Good
Underdrive Pulley Kit for Crank And Alternator - I wouldn't do it, get an EWP instead
NGK TR55 Spark Plugs - I love em
MSD 8.5 Wires - Best wires you can get
The best bang for your buck mod will be long tube headers, hands down. That and a CAI are the first mods that you should go to with a LT1.
I would also consider getting 1.6 rr's and some LT4 springs if you are sticking to bolt-on's only.
