Choppy idle. Good mid range and top end power. Minimum 2800 stall and 3.42 gears for
F and Y body. Minimum 3200 stall and 4.11 gears for B body. Comparable to Comp 306 cam.

Ai 230 / 238 - .575/.575 - 110 LSA - 2300-6400rpm
This is our largest stock long-block cam for M6 cars. Excellent for rebuilds with 11:1 compression. Lopey idle, good drivability with gears & tuning, and excellent mid-range with peak power at approximately 6300rpm. Properly tuned w/ supporting modifications, M6's typically produce 350-365rwhp SAE corrected
Car is a weekend and strip car, not a DD.
will be getting ported heads and leaving the stock block alone for now. later in the far futur will consider stroker but not now. Right now just getting heads pp, i already got all the supporting mods. looking for 450whp or somewhat close but most of all trying to get some really fast times in the 1/8th

1) What are your goals?
2) What supporting mods are you doing (383, ported heads, rr's, cai, etc...)?
3) What are you looking for a good powerful DD or a strip car or a middle of the road both or are you looking for some road racing?
That being said I like lloyd's cam as it has a better range and good topend. However remember if you are staying stock bottom end then you might want to consider beefing it up a little for longevity.
PS: Also remember to fully utilize the power curve of those cams you need to beef up the bottom end as the stock setup ain't gonna last long spinning up past 6K.

Note that the longer duration cam makes more power up top
while the lower duration cam has more torque below 5000rpm.
Keeping in mind that 6500rpm is pushing your luck on a stock bottom end.
The 230/238 also has more overlap, which will tend to make it "chop" a little more.
