Default Oreilly's Clutch Kit....?

Ive read a couple of threads on these cheap clutch kits people are buying that they thought were Valeo kits but end up being "Made in China"....
Well I bought one............(before I knew to stay awhile) and its time to put it in after 13 passes in one night at the track last night...lol..

Anyhow, the PP says C70043 and has a red dot on it...
The Clutch Disc has 4 springs..

What Im asking is has anybody had any good luck with this PP?
Im prolly goin end up buying a different disc.. Im worried this little ol' disc isnt goin cut it...

all i can say is save your receipt. i broke 2-3 of those with bolt-ons only. that lifetime warranty comes in handy

The pressure plate should hold up just fine (if it actually is a Valeo) but that clutch disk isn't going to last you more than a couple of nights at the strip. Get a better clutch disk and you'll be good to go.

Just bring the whole thing back, you can't get Reman PPs anymore, i couldn't anyway, by the time you have spent the 220.00ish on that kit, plus a decent 180-200.00 disc., you'll be out 400.00 plus $$$, you can get a Ram kit for that, so go return it & look elsewhere like Ram ect. Sure the lifetime warr. is a nice thing, but for us it doe's no good, now if your just replaceing a clutch in a stocker/cruiser, they can't be beat.

that is a "valeo" clone made in China. Most aftermarket clutches use the same PP but a much better disc.

Years ago I got "Valeo" clutches from AutoZone for about $200 but when I returned my last "stock" type for the lifetime warrenty I got the 4 spring POS you have. IIRC it had "Raybestes" stamped on the disc.

for a bone stock car those clutches are fine....but doubt your ride is.

you can buy the Mcleod DF disc for about $175 and if that kit is $200 you have a decent clutch for $375

Had a few clutches...my $.02 is ZOOM HP but it is $550

I've yet to nail a price, as I'm not quite ready to change the clutch out,
but the point is, this is American-made high-quality stuff - you can't be
sure what you're getting otherwise. Sorry, but I'll never put the inferior
quality Chinese cr@p on my cars.

But I understand the confusion

Does Monster make LT1 clutches? I thought they were only an LS1 clutch company.

Ya, I looked over their site and didn't see anything either. I was really hoping they did since they seem to have great pricing on their kits.

Most of them are crappy too, the price may seem good, but in the end, you'de wish you had spent the extra $$ for a name brand. I think the Rams are just over 400.00.
