Default Valve spring ?

Ok, I have to change my valve springs, they are surely getting weak as I can hear plenty of tapping. I haven't noticed any power loss tho', but I'm gonna get them out of this 144,000 mile motor anyhow.
I have some 1.6 Comp. Magnum roller tips that I'm gonna add while I'm in there. This motor is NOT gonna get a cam or many other upgrades. Have another motor/racecar build I'm doing. This is just mainly maintenace on my 'bird motor that I do race and drive on the street some. I do scream the pee out of this motor also tho' while racing. But it has been very dependable and I'm want to keep that.

I am curious:

1. What springs would be suggested

2. Would I have to go to a different size pushrod?( I have some low mile stock and I have some hardened 7.2 Comps that are actually for my other motor)

3. Retainers and locks?

Being you have no future plans on building the LT4 springs would suite you just fine. I would maybe just spend the 70-80 bucks and get some factory length trickflow pushrods. Retainers and locks are cheap enough too. I always like to just do it all just to know it's fresh and new.

A good replacement spring with stock cam is Crane 10308-1 kit. Plug & play. IIRC the spring kit comes with retainers and keepere.

Stocl length PR's will be good. If the 1:6 RR are NSA you will need guide plates and use the hardened PR's

They are SA roller tip only, not roller rockers.

What is IIRC?

P.S. Elliott, your car is a visual twin to my builder other than I have chrome ZR1's.

LT4 springs are plug and play too, $45 and your done. Stock pushrods are fine as well as long as they are all true.

As stated, LT4 springs will work fine.
I too would recommend getting some hardened pushrods.
