Also get to the track this weekend man. you wanna get this figured out ASAP and the track will be a good determination, if you run great at the track eff the dyno numbers.

I don't think that long tubes would make that big of a difference, I think I am going to have to go with either bad porting or bad dyno. Mine put down bigger numbers with a cam half that size through stock heads and stockers usually put down 245-260 on that dyno so it was not being generous.

anyone very good point.

the stock injectors are only good for about 400 fly wheel horse which is basically right around what you dyno'd at the rear wheels.

He is an M6 so he should dyno a little higher but for an auto your numbers are correct, I put down 339 on a smaller cam and my 30#ers were at 80% so it is pretty safe to say that if he is running stock injectors on a cam that size he is working those things like a rented mule

With that cam these gears are going to kill your chances at any good ET even if the dyno is to blame on the low numbers. That cam is ridiculous for 350cid.

Get some SVO 36#'ers.

I'd be very concerned that your heads are the very first LT1 heads that he's done. Has he done regular SBC heads before?

I will be hitting a 150hp shot of Nitrous & i've asked LE if this is a good cam for such nos shots & said it is a great cam & he also stated that its a very big cam for a 350.

yea when it comes to porting heads, not just any A-hole can go and do a good job, air flow is a science. thats why people usually goto guys like LE and AI that have done a ton of LT1 heads and know what the tricks are to extract the most power outa them.

yea its 100% the injectors man, they are probably at like 125% duty cycle over 6000rpms which is not good.

Throw some 36#'ers in there and it should jump the HP right up to around 380rwhp i'd say since you're running the shorties.

Maybe a tad higher if the port job was a decent one.

how much did he charge for the porting if you dont mind my asking?

you're in Saudi Arabi too arent you? Thats why the damn tracks 300 miles away!

With that build, it would be foolish to run shorties...you are leaving a lot of hp on the table.

I don't think long tubes make that big of a difference over shorties, I am getting ready to put shorties back on my car after the 383 is done. I hate having to pull some shady **** every two years just to get some stickers, CARB sucks.
