M6 or A4 it doesn't matter, his car is still trapping a solid 10-15 mph slower than it should be

even if he was shifting 1000 rpm less than he should have been, the OP still should have cracked 100mph

having to launch it at 3500+ otherwise it wants to stall is a pretty big problem in itself, the cam isn't that big

The point of this thread is that his car has problems and a ******* A4 isn't the recipe to fix it, so like i said

WOW Is it your time of the month? Gotta learn to calm down. Say it with me....mellowwwww mellowwwww.

I'm not planning to push it for 1/4 mile. Once the jack stands fall over, physics & aerodynamics take control.

Corey, you HAVE TO get a cam back in that car.

Them putting the stock cam back in really F'd things up.

You need to get a cam in it, measure and make sure you pushrods are the correct length, and get that thing tuned...

BTW which buddy runs 15.1s at bandimere?

And be happy with your six speed. Unless you're solely interested in drag racing, they make for a much more enjoyable driving experience, in my opinion.

Seconded, I feel like something is wrong with your car... power-wise.

Everyone else is giving 1 idea posts. Nobody mentioned it so I did no 6 speed should have 3.73s if your worried about running fast in the 1/4 period. DR's like others say will not magically cut over 2 seconds off of your 1/4 if you cant drive. Its an accumulation of things. Gears, driving ability, tires..ect

OH.... This is the golden nugget right here! The engine was built around one cam, then there was a switcharoo, a stock cam went in, in its place, and im guessing that the pushrods you bought for the new cam are the ones in the car right now, with the stock cam.... Am I right?

So it is entirely possible your stock cam has been reduced in lift because of improper lenght pushrods? how much do afr 190's flow @ .250" lift?

The clowns who sold him the car put a supposedly put a stock cam back in to pass emissions, so the could sell it.

His DCR, lift, and flow numbers through the heads are probably seriously suffering because of that little brilliant idea.

As well as the *** pounding he could be giving the lifters if the push rods are too long, and the fact that the tune is so insanely far off its a wonder the car even runs.

A stock motor would (and does) run better at this point.

Well id say you have figured out your problem, and have already come up with the fix. I would strongly recomend that you do NOT even start the car until the problems are sorted out, who knows what sort of damage could be done at this point.

Get ur launchs down, your reaction time wasn't great. I'm guessing you don't launch much. So that's probably what came into play, but don't take offense I'm not the best launcher either
