Default obd 2 to obd 1? (i know its been covered)

I know there is the soldering a resistor in and what not but i heard all you have to do is disable 43 or what not and it is basically the same?

I dont have emissions or any of my emissions stuff so i figure that would be the easiest way to go?

That is not necessary. All you need to do is get a 94-95 knock sensor.

Does anyone have any links to this conversion in complete? I read that its easier to tune, and cheaper to get the tuning software and data loggers. I am just doing engine tuning.

All you have to do is swap the knock sensor and the pcm. Nothing else to it.

So I still use the same ODII connector, and its pins are all the same as a square ODI connector.

Are you referring to the knock module or knock sensor? I didn't know there was a difference in the knock sensors from 94-97

You just use an obd2 style connector for the aldl cable instead of and obd1 I did this conversion and all I did was swap the pcms out. I bought a programmed OBD1 conversion from PCMforless

The sensor in the block. There is no external difference. They run a different resistance.
