Yep twas a solid converter. It was either that or the Edge 9.5. I think I saved about $75 bucks going with the one from Monster.

On a good track my car has done as well as 1.60 short time NA with the edge. Drove 150 miles to the track, swapped on slicks, emptied trunk and ran.

Edge launches very well.

Talk to Transmission Specialties. They just built me a badass nitrous converter for cheap.

Definitely watch out for getting anything cheap, it will cost you more in the long run. I won't build any 9.5"/245MM converter without a billet front. I have seen to many of them fail because the clutch is just to small, no matter who makes them and what they say. I have dozens here now that I have upgraded to my billet converter because the clutch took out the transmission. When you consider the cost of a billet front is more than $200, it makes the non billet converters seem expensive. Do it right and you will be glad you did.

^^ I'm sorry but whomever would put one of these in and trust it to work well is nuts. Never even heard or know anyone that uses this brand. Probably on the shelves at the local convenient mart too

I have a edge 3000 in mine. Nice piece. As far as this Redneck Racing stuff,, well I have never heard of them either. They probably specialize in duct tape.

From my expeirence, Yanks, Circle D and Edge are the only way to go. Be sure to get a billet front as well.

U can always look into a good used one, thats what I did. I got mine for $375 shipped off a member here. Haven't had any trouble yet and its been in the car 2 yrs now. BTW the stall gave me the biggest gain out of all the mods I've done.

If this was in my favorite camaro then yes I wouldnt cheap out. But its not Its in my sleeper camaro. I heard some of the ebay stalls are oK and hold up.

It doesnt need to be killer for the strip so if I had to pick 2 it would be reliable and cheap.

Then dont mod your car.............Ebay stalls

So your one of those guys that uses stock heads with hardly any port work on a 383?

No wonder why you made this thread, you should have done a stock rebuild with AI or LE heads the car would have been faster!

Cubes mean NOTHING WITH OUT THE RIGHT HEAD FLOW!

I would have have done a qaulity custom ground cam with a qaulity convertor and trans.
