why is research bad? b/c there are too many people that have never done it, sat on a computer and regugitate bad information. i want to see real first person results.

what have YOU (not you personally, speaking in general) have done.

Maybe I should of kept my LT1. All jokes aside, Phil knows what he is doing, and that car is cam only. I am sure he will post on here later.

Dyno numbers need to be taken with a grain of salt anyway. I know a guy with an honest mid 9 second mid to high 14Xmph 4300lbs+ car that has a 400rwhp dyno chart.

A TH400 might drop dyno numbers 50hp from a T56 BUT it will likely be faster down the track.

In know someone with a 422rwhp LS in a car 1000lbs lighter than mine, and only a tenth or two quicker
Exactly.

I barely put 350 to the wheels with a cam AND heads on my stock shortblock build, but it still went 11.7x's consistantly.

PS: Bone stock LT1 heads do not flow enough to put down 400rwhp.

Do you have proof to back up that statement?

What if told some of you guys Gizmo on here did 425+rwhp with his stock Ci motor, stock untouched heads and intake, CAM ONLY.

Big power can be made on the stock top end, but its going to take a lot of duration (cam size) to make it.

LE?

where did your cam make peak power? then again, its not a great point of reference b/c your intake and heads have obviously a lot of work done. a stock intake and head doesnt flow a whole bunch, from what i understand.

I am guessing it depends on the ratio of the rockers.

oh wait, i am getting confused again! the gray hairs are showing!

back on topic!

a stock LT1 headed, stock bottom end, bolt-on and 230 duration cam making 400 (ok 396, but still) rwhp. damn, it feels good to be a gangsta!
