Default correct way to paint black LT1 SS nose ???

I am restoring a black '96 Camaro SS but not sure how to paint the front fascia. I know all other exterior colors got semi-gloss treatment between fog lamps and inside headlight bucket area. I just cant find any documentation to verify if the BLACK cars were the same. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, but not really anything on there that deals with this specific issue. Maybe someone else out there with a black, original paint LT1 in their garage?

Black cars came all the same color. The bowtie is red/orange.

The black cars are the same. Semi gloss in the headlight area and fog lamp area. When I repainted my red Z I used gloss black for the headlight and fog area. That looked better than semi gloss because the car was red but with a black car I think semi gloss would be best.

Not, my car. Same paint was on the whole nose. No matte finish anywhere.

I agree with FASTFATBOY.

Hmmmm maybe they are all gloss black. Just paint it all the same color then its a whole lot easier.

Mine was originally all gloss, but when I re-painted it I decided to go satin in the headlight surrounds and grille area. I like it better that way

All gloss would be better to keep up with. The semi-gloss syuff was to cut down on glare. I had my nose repainted and had all of the black sprayed glossy with the rest of the bumper. Black is pretty simple, GM CODE 8555, BASICALLY IT'S JET BLACK, BINDER AND BALANCER.
