That was my best run before redlighting, not my best r/t though.

I ran in pueblo co at our high altitude.

I cant strip the block right now as I dont have any place or equipment to do it. I plan on doing it eventually, just not in the next few months.

Next time I hit the track ill get whatever is the most track friendly tire that will fit on the salad shooters, and a small shot of nitrous.
I would fix whatever's wrong first. My car trapped higher than that at bandimere w stock manifolds and would have ran a very low 14 if I could have got my 60 down.

Well, i find it odd that it could be a 383 but no cam because i hear no lope. i find it odd you're running no cats but still have EGR. i find it odd you have an upgraded valvetrain and holly TB but a stock intake. that shifter is aftermarket too. just doesnt seem like the person before you put any thought into what the eff he/she was doing when building this car. i would get cats back on the car to make things legit and get a tune for crying out loud. but 15.9 is pretty bad. get rid of the tack and salad shooters. maybe drop a grand on some ZR1 17x11's or something.

Unless you are totally dropping the ball driving this thing, that car probably is not a 383...at least not a well running one. Maybe the set-up is just all wrong or something...tuning perhaps. All I know is most guys are running mid 14's pretty much stock. I ran a 14.2 with over a 2.0 60' and all I have is a couple bolt ons...not even all of them yet. I also think your big loss here is in tires...you lose a lot off the line having to pedal it down the track. Get some tires and launch harder before condemning it as well. If it just sits there and spins, 383, properly set-up, or not, is irrelevant when you can't hook up.

edit: I also just noticed the location...that may be some of it, but I'm pretty sure high altitude guys are still above that...especially with a 383. I still say fix the tire spin and see where you stand.

Damn! 2.5 60ft. I got some bfg drag radials you can borrow man. They got me 2.0 60ft's that would knock alot off your time. The rule is you knock off 2 tenths for every tenth in the 60 ft. so you might knock a full second off your time if you can hook lol

I think tires will help me a crap load. First through third the tires were spinning at one point or another. I think if I some good tires, worked on my driving this car should be able to get into the 13's.

We should set a day to meet up in pueblo for sure. Im saving up for tires but itll be a while sadly, thatd be awesome if I could get a run or two in on your tires. Hell, id even let you drive to cancel out my driving, lol.
