need help pullin motor
hey guys i need some help. we got the motor completly unbolted and the trans and all. hav the front lifted some but i ran into a small problem. were usin a engine hoist to lift the front of the car. so the front is lifted some with the motor still on the floor but the problem is theres not much room to the sides of the car and the only place the motor can go once we get the car up is out the front and thats where the hoist is. so can i do somethin to hold the body up while i move the hoist to get the engine? let me know what i can do and if you have pics please post them.

the jack stands wont go high enough. so my idea is to take these 12"x18" bricks we have (dad does padios and retaining walls) stand a few and put the stands on them sound lik a plan?

Hey:
I think wood would be a better choice than bricks. Bricks can crumble under load if not supported correctly, and that would be bad. I have seen it happen more than once even after somebody says don't do it. The guy did it anyway
and hit the brick lightly with the lift and the shock was all it took for the car to come down on the motor and lift and ruin it all, so be very careful if you try it, but I would use good wood over bricks or blocks anyday.
