i'm thinking of stripping down the motor a little to check the insides.

which bolts are reusable and which ones need replacing once removed?

Either 94 or 95-up has torque to yield bolts. Everything else you can use. The head bolts with the small 1/2" hex are the ones that are torque to yield.

Yeah I guess since mine is a 93 I'll be ok to reuse them. I'll check the bolts though before I pull them.

If you are pulling the head bolts off you should spend the extra 65.00 on a set of ARP head bolts they are much better than stock! If the motor you are rebuilding is going back to stock performance reuse the stockers.......

Hijack!

I have my engine out and on a stand right now. One year ago I replaced a head gasket in the car on one side. I just put the engine back together a few days ago and bought a new set of head bolts for the other side, and reused the ones I bought for the headgasket job. So one new side and one old side.

They are the 1/2 head so do you think i need to pull the "old" head bolts out and toss them b/c theyre TTY?

Come to think of it, I torqued both sides down using standard non tty procedure. (3 increasing passes to 65 lb ft.
