LS6 block with LT1 heads???
Wasn't the old school ls1 the 400 ram air in the 70 or 71 nhra trans am, kinda like the copo camaro. I remember back in the day there were pretty fast. (a little kid into cars back then)

i dont think it has the LS6 block at all. but i could be wrong. so what im basically asking on this thread is that is it even possible to do that?
There is a good chance that your Uncle has an LS6 block with an LS1 top end. Quite a few F-Bodies were actually built that way. All of us get confused sometimes, especially as time fogs the mind.
