I think wikipedia requires that you credit it for using it as a source

i dont think it has the LS6 block at all. but i could be wrong. so what im basically asking on this thread is that is it even possible to do that?
Back on topic.

There is a good chance that your Uncle has an LS6 block with an LS1 top end. Quite a few F-Bodies were actually built that way. All of us get confused sometimes, especially as time fogs the mind.

Don't beat up on him too hard.

just for the record duration is not measured in the thousandths, it is a 3 figure number typically in the 2xx range for aftermarket cams

IE - a cc503 cam is a 224/230 (duration intake/exhaust) .503/.510 (lift intake/exhaust) 112LSA (lobe seperation angle)

That is duration at .050. Advertised duration is much higher. I have seen at least one Pro Stock cam that had 350 deg. advertised duration.

...and would never, ever, ever be ran on a 355 SBC with a "3850" stall.

I see the conversation going something like this.

You: So, you know how you said you had an LS6 block with LT1 heads? That's not possible. You're such a douche.

Your Uncle: How do you know?

You: I asked some guys online.

Your Uncle: Thats not safe.

You: No, No, No. You don't understand.

Your Uncle: I have it though. I don't care what they said online.

You: I'll even show you.

Your Uncle: I don't care, do you believe everything you read online. I have it.

If you approach him the right and simply explain to him it's not possible, then maybe he'll learn something. Maybe he was told by someone that's what it came with and has never learned otherwise. You weren't even sure yourself - maybe he isn't either.

Yeah #1 the LS6 is a 346 small block. #2 LT1 heads will not fit on that thing and even if they could it wouldn't pick up more power than stock 241(LS1)heads. So he's trippin
