Turbo Setup
Well ima be off to basic training this wk coming up and ima start this post so when i come back I can make my car a bit faster.
Already have a 68mm garrett turbo( small i know)
Looking to buy another 68mm
Thinking of going Twin turbo.
What do you guys think? Anyone have any ideas for heads/cam/pistons.
Frontmount? is it possible. or better to go rearmount?
Another thing that came to mind, is it possible to do somewhat of a feeder turbo, like a 68mm feeding a 90 or something like that. I am not much of a tech guy so fill me in.
Any ideas post up or let me know

Ya I dont know much bought it I think its called twin scroll when one feeds another. The lancer does that or something like it.
Why not just get one single? Its twice as much pipe for a TT and they make less power. But im a fan of turbo so what ever you do Good Luck
You also know you will need more than just the turbo piping ect.
The car its self will need supporting mods. Ide go to the boosted section post there and read allot.

NO setup makes less than another if both set up properly. With room being the main issue single seems to be the norm. But if the numbers in your sig are good numbers ride that out and get some times then spray it and go faster. Going in to the service you will not make alot, but if you are smart with your money and choices you can leave after your time with some great choices, jobs and finances in order.

I think a turbo will be better than spray.

sterling...stop bs-ing with your numbers...there is a difference between dyno queens and cars that can et. you dont want that car to be like a supra! your car runs so good. get the box for the nitrous and let it rip!
the numbers i believe were like 420 n/a and 560 on a 150 shot. The car has power. just get it to the ground.

a 68mm might work good for a rear mount setup on the 383. maybe. check out the FI section.
twins, it might be too big, plus theres all that mess of piping everywhere, 2x as complicated IMO.
from the research i've done, twins will build boost quicker and higher through the rpm range but max out lower, while a big single will take longer, but build higher top end power and max out higher.

twin 68's is by no means small. My build is twin 60mm turbonetics 60-1's on a 383 and it should have no problem making 650-700rwhp. Package is going to be a pain but I've always wanted to do a front mount kit like INTMD8's red SS.
do you want to keep all your accessories?

I would talk to the guy who runs lt1boost.net if I was going to be trying a turbocharged setup. He makes some nice plumbing for people who want to retain AC, PS, etc. You will have to stand the radiator up among other things at the very least though.
