I need a camaro master tech (lt4) please help!!

HEY GUYS I REALLY NEED SUM HELP, ONE OF MY HOSES CRAKED OPEN TODAY SO ALL MY ANTIFREEZE FELL OUT...MY CAR HEATED UP AND I PARKED IT RIGHT AWAY...I REPLACED THE HOSE FILLED IT WITH ANTIFREEZE CRANKED IT UP AND IT STILL KEPT HEATING UP... I CHEKED THE RADIATOR TO SEE IF IT WAS CLOGGED AND IT HAS WATER FLOW FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER...THEN I REMOVED THE THERMOSTAT TO SEE IF THAT WAS THE PROBLEM AND IT STILL IT KEPT HEATING UP...THE RADIATOR IS FULL OF WATER AND ANTIFREEZE AND STILL IT HEATS UP RIGHT AWAY...THE ONLY THING THAT I CAN THINK OF NOW IS THE WATER PUMP NOT WORKIN BUT I DONT KNOW HOW THAT WOULD HAPPEN IF IT RUNS WITH THE CAMSHAFT??
IF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE U ALL'S OPINION THANKS ALOT...

probably have air in the system try using the two screws on the cooling system to release any air that is traped in there

when you put the new hose on you got air in the system...start it..run it to operating temp...then open the bleeder screw by the thermo housing...let it bleed it until solid coolant comes out..close it up..you'll be good to go

ohh and be careful not to let any coolant drop down onto your opti

But i release those screws and no coolant comes out

Well a little coolant came out but it was more air

The opti spark distributor. It is under/behing the water pump and behind the crank pully

Oh ok, so what if the two screws arent bleeding properly, what could be wrong??

Just a lil bit of coolant pops out, like very little

And i left my thermo off, but i dont think that could be affecting it, it seems as if the coolant is not passing to the blok i think...

You just have air in it. If you don't do it right from the beginning, the air can be hard to purge.

If there isn't a steady stream of coolant coming from either bleeder screws, there is still air in the system.

Hey:

As stated before you have to bleed all the air out, not just some or a little, all.

This may take some time and multiple bleeds to get it all out.

follow shbox's directions till only coolant comes out and no air, remembering to

keep rags away fom the belt but protecting the opti below the water pump.

i already did the procedures...it's been at idle for about 10 min and temp is good...do i need to run it longer??

If it is up to temp and there is no more air coming out of the bleeders, then you should be good to go.
