Default Clutch Disks from Gripforce on ebay

I have the 94 camaro z28 T56 LT1 combo. My clutch need replacing, and i found the disk on ebay from gripforce. They have a Valeo #167385 which is the same as mine. Are these by any chance an infearior disk from valeo? Or are they the same as you get over the counter at a parts store?

How much money do you have for a new clutch. If I was replacing my clutch, I'd get a replacement clutch kit and swap out the clutch disc for a McLoed single disc.

I bought the Valeo kit (Pressure plate-which is the better LT4 PP;, throwout bearing and disc) from Gripforce a few years ago. I felt the quality was first rate. I used the TO bearing and PP along with the McLeod single disc ss.slp.ls1 mentioned. At the time this was an organic/kevlar disc. I believe this has been changed to an organic/ceramic combo. My only gripe about the organic/kevlar is a lack of pedal feel.

Thanks for the replies; any recommendation for the Mcleod disk type?
I am installing this in a 1955 bel air which is around 3500 pounds or so.
a little heavier than the car it came out of.
also, doesn`t Valeo make the disks for Mcleod?

It is sapose to be stock which puts it around 275hp at the engine.
Turns out my block is 4bm not 2bm which came in the corvette; this could push it to around 300 to 350hp.
its an LT1 engine just the same.

So you think the 4 bolt main Corvette blocks made an extra 25-75 hp than the 2 bolt main Camaro blocks?

I think he means because the motor came out of a vette not a camaro/firebird it has a little more hp. Don't know of any LTX vette that came with 350 hp but the LT1 vettes had 300 hp.

thanks za... thats what i came across that the vette block had a higher compression ratio than the z28 lt1 and another 25hp, and as much as 350hp with a cam, headers, etc.
mine has an average of 200psi on 3 strokes and tops out at @ 210psi at 5-6 strokes. the ratio being like 10.1:1 instead of 9:1

by the way, im about to go with the gripforce kit and concider the Mcleod disk.
Valeo clutch tech Ron said they make the kits for gripforce "their internet name" also known as speed performance the mother company.
Valeo makes the actual pull bearing and pressure plate, where others get their parts from China like i believe zoom and others.
brian.................. thanks again everyone.................
