Default Which one should i go with ? HELP

I have a auto 96 z but was going to do a 6 speed swap and now im thinking of doing a FLT level 3 trans because it will bolt right up. I have almost every thing to do the swap but its going to cost me another 600 to have the swap done. Someone on another board has a flt level 3 tranny and wants to trade for a 6 speed what should i do ? HELP The car is pretty much a dd

6-speed swap hands down.

Depends if you race or not.

Racing a 6 speed is a pain in the ***, feel free to see this link. For me.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/eastern-m...ay-new-pb.html

the 4LJunkiE is no better but for racing it really helps.

The 6 speed is fun and when I didn't have one, I wanted it but then after issues with the clutch or hydraulics, going back to a good Auto (4L80e or TH400) really seems more appealing. Go with what you feel comfortiable with.

A Auto upgrade will be "easier" then a 6 speed swap.

Thinking its a relatively tame car, the FLT trans will work fine. It wasnt until I put a stall behind my old 383LT motor that my 60e took a dump. Ive got a 3 speed Th350 now and is alot of fun to drive!

If you like switching gears, put a manual valve body in a 3 or 4 speed trans. Its just me but I couldnt stand a standard in my car.
