Question Pacesetter Longtubes - tips

I am ordering Pacesetters for my LT1, just thought I would ask:

Any issue with fitting? Will they rub anywhere?

I am also getting poly engine mounts since I have been told the stock ones would end up going weak due to the heat.

Thanks.

I doubt you will have any issues. Ive never had pacesetters but some of my buddies do and from what I know of they have been problem free. But I had a lot of issues with my Jet Hots, those where a PITA

The only issue I had with the emissions style pacesetters was the egr tube was right in the way of the tranny dipstick so I had to heat it up and bend it toward the firewall, other than that fitment was great

No grinders or hammers to the rescue? I am getting non-emissions headers.

That's what I have. Fitment and ground clearance is good. Godd thing you are doing poly mounts at the same time. You shouldn't have any issues.

i have had one minor issue with my pacesetters. They rubbed the steering shaft joint(not sure that is the correct part name lol.) So i had to adjust the shaft, so it would clear.

I'm guessing you didn't change your motor mounts at the same time...

Yes. Remove stock manifolds, install poly motor mounts, then install LT headers.

I had to grind a little of the motor mount to fit mine in otherwise no issues besides just the cramped engine bay.

What about my oxygen sensors? Will they get damaged with the new headers?

No. You'll need some o2 extensions and an ORY.
