Heads and Cams Combo!?
#22
Haha yeah i figured lowering was outta the question i just dont wanna roll around in 4X4 status ya know!? I priced some longtube pacesetters last night and a few other things and for a full I/H/E with electric cutouts and the few other little goodies im gonna need to install it im looking at about 1500 bucks... Is that reasonable? I emailed trifecta to see if they could make me a tune with those mods.
I cant seem to find the Combo's on their websites, maybe im just dumb but im not seeing it, thats what i have been looking for though. Regardless of what size cam and heads i get im going to need a tune correct?
I know they are SOHC, i was using Plural tense since im looking into multiple types of cams, sorry if that was confusing.
You guys are really helpful and i really appreciate this, hopefully i will be back on the road again soon! Its been almost two months since i have driven anything at all...

They offer two head packages that utilize stock castings, a 190cc and a 200cc Dominator package. Times in signature using the AI 200cc heads. Each combo includes a custom grind camshaft tailored to your needs. I am not familiar with Lloyd Elliot's packages, but I'm sure a quick search will net you plenty of results, opinions, info, etc.
Yes, either way you will need a tune. There are many vendors that can help you out. I use www.pcmforless.com for my tuning needs, while others use www.madz28.com. You can't go wrong with either one.
Also, electric cutouts are a personal preference and not needed in dual form (for most applications). Most people run a single cutout after the y-pipe or on the intermediate pipe (I'm running a single). The less you spend on tertiary parts the more you can spend on value-added parts, such as suspension or a rear end.
Good luck!

Hey guys i cant tell you how much you are helping me and i really really appreciate it! So single cutout after the mid. Heads and cam 200cc at least from AI. No lowering just slight suspension. Subframe connectors. TUne after the H/C.
OHV! not SOHC! Stupid Honda's have ruined me...

haha you're doing fine. the heads and cam part, just talk to whoever you choose to do the work, AI in this instance, tell them what you want out of the car and let them run with it. you will be more than happy with what they come up with for ya
