Alright Joe, I'm in. I got a few things taken care of today. Instead of changing the U-joint on the aluminum LS1 DS, I just threw the stock steel one back in, and then put some new fluid in the rear. So, I'm good to go, as long as the weather holds up.

Ya that's what i'm aiming for it bottom bottom 12's. I think with more gear eventually i could see 11's. Not so sure my 2.73's are helping me much haha, I cut consistant 1.8's last year and a few high 1.7's lol.

Ah, man get rid of those gears for some 3:73's. I did that several yrs ago, and it was a night/day difference. HIGHLY recommend it

I'd pick up a complete 3.42 rearend for a couple of hundred bucks. They were worth a couple of tenths for me when my car was a hotcam setup with 2.73s.

Good luck

Ya funny thing is i had one for a while i got for 50 bucks but just never took the time to swap it out lol and ended up trading it for some lower control arms plus cash... Dumb mistake i know but i'll get one eventually or i'll throw a 9in under it by next season...

Yeah, while my car's more fun with the 3.90's, I can't get complete satisfaction, because I know it's just a matter of time before it goes boom. That's why I'm kinda scared to make the trip tomorrow. lol. It doesn't help my feelings that it's got a little whine to it either.

I've had great luck with my 10bolt (150k miles now), autos don't abuse them as much as a 6 speed

*knock on wood*

You can build a 10 bolt and make it hold for a street car.

For an all out drag car would I? No

But people mod the **** out of everything else on the car to make and support power, and leave the 10 bolt bone stock and call it a pos.

Well Joe, definately a shitty night for both of us. Looks like you need a little more tweeking on that tune. And we definately need better weather conditions. I haven't looked up what the DA was yet, but it had to be pretty crappy, since I was only running 13.5's@102-103. Granted, I didn't have my SSRA or aluminum ds in, but I should still be able to hit 12's, in good weather. Also, since it started raining, does that mean we get to go back and run another Friday fun night, for free, with our receipts? I heard them say something about bringing our receipts next time, but didn't hear the rest.

Ya i officially had a terrible terrible night, ran 13.8 at 96mph for a best lol, what a joke... It's either the tune is way off which i dont think it is that far off or the tranny/convertor is toast... I'm gonna get with Mike Jacobs more this week or weekend and get some tuning tweaks done on the part throttle stuff then go from there on the WOT stuff and maybe try the track once more next week or the week after. So no videos of pics from tonight cause it was a terrible night to say the least lol... I guess its back to the drawing board and hope to get some tuning tweaking done...

Yeah, I got a couple vids, but nothing special. Just my last two runs. Hopefully the track rentals coming up in the next couple months will bring some better weather for us.

The first pass with a new setup is never the best. Don't get discouraged.

Get some gears in that thing! 273's and a cam are a bad combo. I'm running 13.9 @ 98mph with the little hotcam @ 7800 DA
