I'm putting in another vote for Cordova, (www.cordovadrag.com) It is a nice track, good prep, and PLENTY of space. They are good about track rentals and it seems to be the track is prepped better for rentals than even the normal weekend races. The price of renting is also very low in my opinon. And as mentioned before its also a good location being in the midwest... I'd be more that willing to help set up anything as its local to me and i could help with any planning or anything needed.

Dallas is a 12 hour drive for me, Illinois is just the same. Im 80 miles from memphis and 4 hours from St Louis. KC was gonna be a 6 hour drive. Yea we all want it in our backyard, but to think Tx or Il is centrally located??? Are you guys thinking about Taner who has to come all the way from Canada? No matter where you put it, somebody is gonna have to travel.

The NMCA hold thier finals and the LSX shoot out at Memphis for a reason, it is the MOST centrally located track. It was recently bought by the Earnhardt family and track prep has gotten better since then. I dont know what it cost to get the track for the day, but it should be comparable.

It took us around 11 hours to get to KC from Austin TX. Memphis would be ideal but the price may scare us.

Kyle and I will be contacting all the tracks mentioned to get prices.

no you can't, but I would look at what area draws the most cars and cater to them wherever it may be.... follow the money. If the attendance is not there then the event wont last. And you have to pay the bills

Tony the sooner you and Kyle figure something out the better, That way people can plan alot eariler for next year. Maybe choose 3 tracks that will work and set up some poles to see what the people think.

Everyone wants it to be closer to them but I'm sure the cost of these other tracks is going to play a big part in the final decision on where it's going to be.

well whats a rental for an event like this run?

Is there a way to add some other stuff or get in with another group to lessen the overall cost.... possibly find a promoter to work with and get something to happen that would make is less of a financial burden

We had sponsors last year but most were all last minute and really pulled through for us. Thanks again to everyone that did!!!!
Would be great to get it started now, to grab more attention. More sponsors, more racers, more getting ready. And have it at Byron......lol

I think that a "spectator" LTX car show with a bracket race would be cool. Maybe they could set a dial on their last qualifying pass and have to keep it during eliminations?

Instead of arguing about where it should be, let Tony Shepherd and the organizers figure out the best prices for the value of the track you are getting.

I wasn't able to support it last year, but I will atleast pay this year and maybe show up. I don't think my slow turd of a car is worthy of running though lol
