How much is my engine worth?
Back then we weren't real concerned about gas mileage, beaching, t-topping, interstate motoring at 75mph. and no Arguing over "street car" "race car" bs like today. Back then, we would/could run stop light to stop light all thru town all night long and sometimes for as much as 1K a run. Old School FTW

And i bet he'll tell ya when a race was set up, no one even asked to see under the hood. Just line them up and hope for the best. I still have two of my old cars. I think one might still be able to muster up a 10.50 or two.
Pretty much, just run em and go. From what all his friends say he had a yellow '69 Chevelle with a 327 he build that would smoke everything..lol

Well i guess you guys all need to come to woodward ave in detroit for some old fashion stop light racing every fri and saturday night. All the older hard core guys come out with all kinds of muscle cars and some mean tuners and they just do 0-80 mph races down woodward. Fun times all summer long. My favorite was watching a 95 drop top t/a pull a 3ft wheelie past a 10 sec supra. http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/ctd/1346806374.html heres the supra in case anybody is interested he wants 29000 for it lol

And I got a little NEWS flash for ya, Believe about 5%(or less) of what racerdude tells ya. He NEVER has had a fast car, He has NEVER built his own car. The fastest car he built the engine in ran 10.90(Bucks Rocket RACECAR). DOnt let him fool ya, he is all hot air.
If it was up to him my car would STILL be on jackstands.
I honestly don't think anyone is even slightly worried about a quick LT1. As the previous owner of several LT-based cars I give lots of respect, but I seriously doubt LSX guys are beating their chest, let alone even paying attention to what you guys are doing. I'd be more concerned about a car like Tony Shepard's, a car that could give a lot of LSX's around my parts a good run! 10.5's @ 125 wouldn't get you too far down here.
