They wont work the way they are. The LT1 is reverse flow and the coolant passages are routed differently from the block to the heads.

There are shops out there that will convert them. I would guess it requires welding up existing passages and drilling new ones. Into the water jacket. I'm not too familiar with HOW they do it though, but I do know they can.

Search for a thread I started called "converting sbc heads to reverse flow" and someone posted in there who can do the conversion (a shop).

Conversions are not cheap. Usually something reserved for some of the higher-end SBC castings.

For Darts, I'd sell what you have and either port a set of stock LT1 heads or pick up a set of Dart Pro1s if you like their castings.

Define "not cheap". I thought it was around $300-$400 ?

400 bones aint too bad if you already have a killer set of SBC heads. Not to mention SBC stuff is 110930954u7034983409854309543908435908435908435980 53490854 x 3 bajillion more times available

Sure, and that gets you a set of unoptimized bare castings.
What was that point in that?

For $200 more, you could have had the stock heads ported, milled and assembled, saved yourself the hassel and still had the SBC Dart heads available to sell.

The point in that would be being able to run a 15 or 18 deg head on an LT1 and make retardo power.....
