Default Steel or Aluminum Driveshaft?

What will hold up better? I have a stock steel driveshaft from my 96 Z28, and a stock aluminum driveshaft from a 99 z28. I plan on taking it to the track this Friday.

The steel one will be stronger. Myself, I run the Aluminum w/ a driveshaft safety loop.

Steel Driveshaft is stronger, But my 10 bolt broke at the track before my ls1 aluminum driveshaft. I haven't had a problem with mine yet.

steel. I've seen cam only cars snap the driveshaft into three pieces (just to clarify, that's the driveshaft, not the u-joint). You are talking about 2-3 rwhp here. Def. not worth the risk.

unless you are racing on street tires... then go for it.

www.dennysdriveshaft.com

One and done. I am using their nitrous-ready shaft with my 9". It's nice to know I'll never need to touch it again.

steel one is just fine but if were doing higher rpms a aluminum would be better! Either way the steel one will be good.

What about switching the stock steel to the LS1 aluminum on a pretty much stock car(CAI+Exhaust) ? Mine is vibrating and I kind of want rid of it. Doesnt it free up a few rwhp?
