Default running crappy at high RPM

My car developed a miss that got progressivly worse. My other car is down right now so I was still driving it to work ( about a mile). When I finally got to looking at it the plate that holds the wires boled to the accessory bracket had broke and the wires were getting cut by the drive belt. I replaced all 8 wires plugs were done about 3k ago with NGk tr-55 plugs. My problem is now it falls on its face and still misses at about 5000 RPM. My opti was new in april (new delphi unit). The wires have been checked to make sure they are not burnt, cut or to close together. The routing is done correctly I have verified it twice. o2 sensors are about a month old. It runs excellant up to 500 what would cause it to miss at high rpm like that? I cleaned the opti harness as an afterthought. coil and ICM were inspected but not replaced. Anything I may have missed?

Have you checked your fuel pump/filter/relay? Why don't you try throwing a pressure guage on the rail and check your rail pressure?

That would make sense too! Because the timing would advance/retard erratically.

fuel pump & filter were new at the same time as the opti. I have to replace the oil pan gasket this weekend I guess I will swap the opyi as it is under warranty.
