If you have fuel pressure and spark, check to make sure your bellows didnt come off or loose, The will run like **** or not start at all if it is not reading the correct air flow from the mass air sensor.
But basicly you need to see if you have spark, fuel, both or niether.
itneeds to be at 40+ atall times.. sounds like the regulator

I guess I am just going to stick the meter on all four wires coming out of the opti harness, and see if I have anything. If nothing I guess I will read the harness end to end for continuity. This is what I am curious about, if reading directly from the Opti harness, what should I be seeing?

If it ends up being the opti, any 95-97 opti will work correct? I don't want any more strange surprises, like finding out there is some b body opti or something.

Since you have no spark, has to be ICM, coil, opti, plug wires, plugs, or bad ground.

You have ruled out ICM, coil, ground. Most likely not opti harness chance of a new one being bad is slim. Im starting to think opti, how many miles on it?

Not yet, Camar0Corey hasn't been over lately to test everything. So far we think it's the opti and I'm buying one friday. Hopefully it shows up here on Monday or Tuesday and the car is running again

Ok since I have faced this issue so many times I have a few suggestions to make this as fast as possible on narrowing down the issue here.

You have fuel you confirmed the pressure SO lets do the following.

Take a NOD or a Test Light with you, grab a spare ICM and Coil take them to Autozone and have them tested for free. (Grab a NOD or Test Light if you do not have one)

Now with a good ICM and Coil go ahead and do the following test First.
Put the NOD or using the test light and the instructions you spoke of on Shoebox, test for the fuel injectors to be firing.

To do this I believe you connect to ground and the test light touches the pink wire (Disconnect one from the injector your choice on which). Showbox has it details, the nod just goes right into the harness and will also light up.

IF it lights up your opti is working on the Optical Side because its sending the signal to provide fuel.

IF not then your Opti is gone and you should be getting a SES code for high or low signal.

Now lets assume your injectors are firing;
replace the ICM and Coil with the known good ones. Check again. If you still have no spark then more than likely your Cap and Rotor are gone. You can check for spark at the coil but I have never gotten any spark every time I have shattered a rotor in an opti.

Hope this helps.

According to shoebox's website it provides signal for the coil to fire, not the injectors? Ah well if I have time tomorrow I'm going to get the opti off the car. Initially we didn't have enough trans fluid in it, and the car wasn't shifting under WOT. Saw the tach hit 7k, who knows what really happened there.

Still following shbox's website though, sounds like the opti isn't even telling the coil to fire anyway, so of course we don't have any spark on the cap/rotor side of things.
