Default cam only 11 sec LT1s

Who's done it? I know there's got to be a few of them. Close to full weight preferred.

from research iv done... the heads and intake just dont flow enough stock casting to get you those times on full race weight... good luck though if you try for it...

no reason why it can't imo, a decent running cam only LT1 can trap 110-113 and that is enough mph for high 11's with a good 60'

I never got mine to the track cam only but considering how it ran I'm sure it had the mph necessary

Cam only will have to be very light weight to achieve that 11 sec timeslip!

Frank B was running deep 11s with a small Crane Cam, others have done it with CC305s and Hot Cams.

That just isn't true. If the OP spends his money in the right places (not just on the motor), there is no reason that he can't meet his goals. IMO, you could get a stock cam, full weight, AC car to run in the elevens.

OK I'll ask in this thread.

Here's the car
95Z t-tops stock motor w/longtubes, 3" Flowmaster cat-back, subrame connectors, double adjustable lower control arms, aftermarket torque arm (front mount moved off the trans to the rear trans mount brace and driveshaft loop) 4.10 gears, 28" MT ET Streets, stock 4L60E with Vigilante 3200 converter. Weight was 3390 before I took out the TC,Cruise, ABS controls, and put on a VFN pin-on glass hood. I did put 28# injectors in because the duty cycle on the 24's were maxed out WOT

Best ET is a 13.12, so where would you start? I'm thinking a TH350 with 3500-4000 converter

Thats weird, because I have a smiliar setup with more converter, less gear and Im running deep in the 12's with only bolton's. Its all about the setup, Daren's car is a classic example.

I would start with ditching the flowmaster and getting a bigger stall

I ran 12.98 with 3000 stall, 3.73 gears, 1.6 roller tip rockers, CAI, Aluminum elbow, Pacesetter LT headers with x-pipe and PCMforless mail order tune. Video is in my sig and T/A Kid is a witness to my mods.

Sorry for adding to the Hijacking!

I now have a cam only LT1 and full weight minus spare tire and front sway bar and with some good tuning and better suspension I can get it in the high 11s

I just changed the injector constants to match the new injectors, and started to adjust the afr when weather got crappy, then went to Vegas, then..... never got back to the track after initial retune. I do have the afr in the ballpark now though. But I doubt it will drop a fulll second off. There has to be some other tweaks I need to make.

I agree the chokemasters are defiantly holding back some hp.
