Default Who's gone mid 12s BOLT ON ONLY?

I know there's a bunch of you. I'm being told by an LS1 owner that LS1s can't do it, let alone LT1s. He's retarded.

I'm already running 13.1 with basic bolt ons. But he won't listen to reason.

Well ur buddy is either lying to you or a little on the slow side! There are several cam only LS1s goin in the 10s of course with full bolt ons but cam only. Pretty much every
LT1 out there with a cam only is going mid 12s with a all supporting mods, good stall, even a stock gear can do that.

orly? My TA ran 12.8@102, Cold Air, Hooker LTs, Off road Y, Vigi 3200 and Borla on some worn out Nittos drag radials, still had the WS6 wheels up front. Same car on 17s all around, Kuhmo radials, with that Vigi 3200 converter, SLP Loud mouth and cold air ran 8.5@80. Dead stock suspension, stock manifold and factory cat. The guys an idiot because LT1s have gone 11s with bolt ons, doesn't make sense they could go 11s but not 12s.

I went 12.6 with boltons and some weight loss. Looking for 12.3's with some good air and the addition of rockers.

Anyone who tells you that bolton LT1's cant hit 12's or even 11's is iggnorant.

Ask him what he considers a "stall" to be?

You could tell him torque converters have bolts that mount to the flex plate (its bolted on).

I showed him the fastest LS1 cars that are BOLT ON ONLY and they have stalls and they are ALL faster than his cam only car, and some of them are full weight.

He still says I'm wrong.

I thought there was only: bolt on, H/C stroker and power adder.
Ask him where does a stalled car fall into?
Ask him if there's another category that we don't know about.

There are even people in the LT1 crowd that don't believe it, where have they been? Even at 3900 # it wasn't that difficult.

Doesn't sound like he's ever gonna agree ... Just shrug it off and move on, some people will never accept that they're just slow

a handful. Not many these days. Most are 13.7-14.3 from everything I've seen.

My car ran a best of 13.9 stock(it was a dog), 12.8s with most of the bolt-ons(I coulda squeezed 12.5s out of it for sure, maybe low 12s with weight reduction), and 11.7s with ported stockers and a baby cam(still full weight).

Looking for high 10s with the new stroker combo and a little weight reduction...NA with a hydraulic roller .

Your friend needs to get out more.

Hmm... lots of doubters on this forum of our f-bodies... Prove em wrong boys!

And your friend is an idiot. Reminds me of my friend (who owned a 06 Cobalt SS at the time) called my Trans Am an old broken slow piece of **** (yes, exactly like that) and that the LT1 was GM's mistake
