Default Replaced Opti, Coil and ICM but still a problem.

Replaced the everything including wires but when I start driving around for a bit it starts to bog down when im at idle like I have a cam almost. Then I give it gas and it fights through the throttle a bit then it gets up to speed. Cruising is ok for me to do but WOT it is hesitant, but makes it to 6k.

I replaced the following so far.

Opti Ebay
Coil MSD
ICM
Wires MSD
O2 sensors

Will be replacing when I get off class today

Fuel pump (Walbro)
Fuel pump harness Racetronix

The fuel pressure is at a low 38psi, would that cause it run like it does? Should I replace the plugs also? Im so lost with this car lol

Its a 93' btw. Thanks guys

Maybe replace the FPR. I put in an Areomotive Adj and it helped a lot. Plugs would be a good bet too.

FPR is good, no fuel leaks out of the vacuum side when I pulled the vacuum line.

Test your fuel pres at WOT. Throwing parts at it w no diagnosis is an expensive and labor intensive proposition.

If your fuel pressure is low, fuel filters are fairly cheap. Perhaps yours is dirty.

Before the ebay opti the car would sputter and randomly shut off on me. So that is taken care of. Im doing the filter and pump tomorrow.

Fuel pressure at WOT (vacuum unplugged from FPR is 48psi)

The opti will only go in one way because the back has a key that slides into the camshaft.

How would I go about checking this anyway?

I was having similar problems. I had a bad opti, and warped heads. Have you tried doing a compression check?

I also put in my opti wrong as well. Yes there is the key, but I missed the hole and got it into http://i34.tinypic.com/akbw5z.jpg, where the red dot is. The opti shouldn't be able to shake around, like mine did.

Edit: I wasn't getting compression in one cylinder.

I have a 93 so the back of the Opti is splined shaft with a key way so it can only go in 1 way.

When I put the opti in it didnt seat completely, it had about 1/8" gap before it could be seated all the way. Could that cause pressure on the opti and act like this?

I would check any of the componets you mentioned wiring, it is OLD. Something may not like how it was reassembled. Definitately check the tps for voltage and replace the fuel filter

The pump and harness is in and good. Its runs good, but breaks up at WOT and i feel a slight stumble at idle now. Im gonna say its the plugs/wires on this one maybe.

when i unplugg my fpr my pressure stays about the same or maybe goes up a few pounds. could this cause my car to stumble badly over 3500?
