theoretically it might be very dangerous. but im dead serious. i did it in the rocks all alone with my mom within ear shot. or if i knew i was gonna do something extremely dangerous i would call her down in the backyard just in case. but no if you do it right. i would honestly use the than anything else. has anyone ever seen 3k lbs. on a happy hooker 4 ft in the air and the chain break? oh btw its your beloved f-body??? not a good day at all. just throwing my 2 pennies. i had the car sitting up high enough that the entire k-member and all just rolled out with no problem at all. while i had my 17x9 ZR1s on it. and when your poor and cant afford big toys. you do what you have to, to satisfy your needs.

Well a happy hooker is around $50. It bolts to the intake manifold, supposed to make a worlds difference in pulling it from the top. You aren't supposed to lift the whole car with it.

And if your car were to fall on you, what's your mother going to do? Is she some sort of deadlift champion, or something?

it took like 2 hours for someone to realize there was a jack right next to the car. nobody even tried to push it off him

We used to own a farm very close to Guthrie. I didn't see the neighbor bench pressing the car. I must have missed that part.

what i posted is a quote said by one of the rescue people near the end of the clip. it doesn't look like he bench pressed it, more like he sat on it with his weight and was able to make the pass side of the car lift up enough to slide the guy out from under it.

did anyone else notice that the shaker says 400 on it and the front end is that of a 77/78? by 77 they were using the 6.6 liter on the shaker.

Yeah, I know. I just didn't see anyone bench pressing anything in the reenactment, and was kind of curious why the guy might have said that. I guess it never hurts to live next door to a strongman, unless you're a jacka$$.

It's a rod knock. Noise is being produced twice as fast as the valve train in those vids.

Firstly its a rod knock for sure. pull that engine

Here is how you need to do it, very easy, place wheels under the rear tires and use the hoist to lift the body and pull the engine, trans with exhuast, k member and all suspension, it can be done in less than 3 hrs.....

hoist, 2 wheels, various wrenches and sockets=done
