From my understanding the BMR one bolts in from the inside..that is what it appears from every pic of it that I have seen of it. That and it's made to completely delete the HVAC, mine still has the heat.

I wouldn't go through all that work for it, what I did is simple and effective.

Here is the BMR one..straight from their website..

Since race cars don't need air conditioning and deleting the entire system can save almost 100 pounds, this is a no-brainer modification. BMR's A/C delete panel for the Fourth Generation F-Body is an easy solution to the large hole left in the firewall once the A/C has been removed. Made from 1/8" aluminum to keep the product lightweight yet not flexible. Patterned after the OE A/C box and precision laser cut to bolt on using existing mounting holes.

I am also Interested in removing my ac, heat doesnt realy matter either if its easiest to do them both. The car naps during winter anyway. If some one posts pics of anything could the point out or elaborate on what all exactly is removed....
Mike.

I'm going to be doing mine when I install my new headers and k member. I will be doing the same thing as merv and keeping the heat. I drive till about now and there are some cold nights that I need to have defrost. I'll be making my plate out of aluminum when the time comes

You should post some picture as you go with the AC delete. Also does anybody know if you can get to the bolts for the AC box on the firewall without cutting it?

Also if I delete the entire Hvac system what do I do with the heat lines? The ones that run to the water pump? Take them off the pump and block off the 2 holes on the pump?

When I do it I'll take a bunch of pics and my motor will be out too so that will make everything way nice to work on.

As far as the water pump I believe that you can block them off or I have seen guys loop them, but I would block them if its possible, I don't know if it would cause any problems in the WP housing itself

i deleted them off the housing

then as you can see from earlier in the thread I completely removed everything from inside the engine bay as well as everything from under the dash. I am also the person that modified the factory acc. bracket to move the alternator down the the original location of the a/c compressor.
