well if you are running skinnies it isnt that big of a deal. Running full size tires isnt that bad once you are moving. At a stop it is a lot more difficult. My old 69 chevelle wasnt bad at all until you were stopped then it took a little bit of muscle.

i got a question about doing this. i have already gotten rid of my ac compressor and condesor, but i want to get the stuff off the fire wall also.

i know they have a delete plate you put on after you remove the ac box but can i leave the heater core? and will it still work when i remove the ac crap?

how hard is it to remove the ac box?

Check this thread. Some REALLY good pictures.

Additionally, instead of the "tunnel" made into the plate, you can also cut out the plastic between the blower motor and the vents, essentially making a passage between the two so your heat still functions.

I haven't done this yet, so I'm not sure if you can cut the box in half without accessing it from the interior side. I would imagine that it would be MUCH easier.

Hot in the summer without the AC but its worth it for the weight reduction lol. Plus I like cruising with the windows down so I can hear the car.

ok so in the circle you cut some platic or metal out and created your own passage for the blower right? also did you pull the unit out with the engine in the car or is it even possible?

pcmforless also makes them. but both are going to made to install front the inside with everything gutted. there will need to be some modification needed to retain the heater and to mount plate on the outside.
