So im upgrading to LE1 heads and a 226/230 cam plus stall etc...but i still have my stock intake. The 97ss hood on my car is ram air n I can see daylight through it and it sits perfectly over my intake. But I see every one with the cold air dropped like the moroso and slp. So my question is which one would give me better air flow? the stock intake with the ram air going directly in or the after market moroso/slp??? hope i made sense guys

I'd leave the SS intake on there with a k&n filter...the differences between the 2 in 1/4 mile probably wont be different. If your doing road racing or 1/4 mile, the ram air would probably be better for highway speeds and the last half of the track...the faster you go, the more you'll get...

yea i've kept ram air all this time when I was just full bolt ons but idk how much difference there would be dropping it or doin the lid..seems like enough air would go through already through ram air hood. I just dont like how much it curves even tho it doesnt travel much. I will run it at the track after a tune but mainly I just street race for fun, usually from a roll so im already getting enough air coming in.
