Mike Graham (sp) was running 10.8s in a 95 Z28 back in the late 1990s, car had maybe a 150 shot, Comp 224/236/114 cam, 2800 Vigi, usual bolt ons and wasn't a tin can. Frans96SS on here ran 11.0@12x, Th400, 9 inch, long tubes, 200 shot other wise a dead stock long block. If you compare it to Frans or Mikes car, the times make sense, wouldnt be so quick to call b.s. Fastest stock short block LT1 is BigKevC5s old 97 Z28, 9.7@13x.

They say it in the first post, NX nozzle, didnt say if it was a single or dual nozzle kit. We had an NX dual nozzle on stock headed 355 30th Anniv Z28, six speed car, 3.42s. Car was a turd on motor, but ran it's *** off on gas. This post needs to be a sticky because it's basically a staple Chicago/Texas LT1 set up. Keep it simple as hell on motor, nothing fancy just make it work good and then spray the ever living **** out of it, thats how you hurt local LS1 feelings and go fast

Why should this be a sticky? Then there would be no innovation and every damn LT1 would be the same. That would be a horrible idea. The 3 threads in this sub forum that should be stickies are the bolt-on record thread, beaflags weight reduction thread, and the fastest lt1 thread.

i don't think it's questionable at all. the key to turning at ET is setup. i see the car easily making the power to go 102 in the 1/8, but this dude spent the time getting his **** to hook. a lot can be done when you're putting all of the power down and not spinning it away.

go race at some 1/8 mile tracks. see what those bracket cars run. they always have a stellar ET coupled with a mediocre trap speed. there is a lot to be learned from the hillbilly 1/8 mile tracks across the us.

Definately believable. The cam and tuning probably make that difference between your et and the LMP cars et.

back onto this car...the DA sux and we wont be doing anything special anytime soon because of the weather but we did swap into it a th400 and vigilante 3600 stall(we believe) its way too tight on motor and no the car goes 8.0 at 85 on motor...
the old trans from Frank at CPT broke the output shaft on a warm up motor pass

theres a local 7.0 class we run in now and we dialed the car in on a 125 shot to go a 7.0...tonite we tested and went a 6.99, then had a by, one easy pass i just stayed in front of the guy, then our last pass we had slowed the car down because the track was cooling and we had gone a .99,
we went a
.58
7.09 @98
other guy went a
.65
7.01 @100 and won by .0006 i believe

so anyways the car now runs 6.99 on a 125 thats still detuned
its got a .85-.92 in it on 125 and who knows with the 200 again
the stall loves nitrous...picked up 1.01 and 14mph easily on 125 in the 1/8
