I am an LS1 guy so Lt1's are not my thing, i am trying to help a friend save money. thanks chris

flush heater core to restore hot air flow back! hell, flush the whole damn system. its rated at 18 psi so dont put moe than that in water inside or youll break stuffs lol
does it bubble up and gurgle over the recovery tank? maybe try bleeding it - the car had work done before i bought it and didn't get bled properly, and it would overheat. The fans come on at a very high temperature, 226F for slow and 235F for high..these cars regularly run, 220-230s. any DTCs? check the coolant temp sensor, in the driver side head, make sure that isnt showin the gauge as being too hot or cold or w/e. the temp sensor in the water pump controls the pcm temp reading
this is the best site for LT1 cars: Shoebox (he's on here forgot his user name though) wrote a big site up about all LT1 F bodys

ok guys i know this is old but he still hasnt fixed it. so i was reading on here about the heater core and how to check it. so we cranked the car up and drove it around let it get warm and the turn the defroster on but as stated above it just blows cold. so i popped the hood and then touched the hoses going into the firewall and they are cold!!! so to make sure i am right THAT means that the heater core is clogged??? thanks for any help

yup very common and the other thing that clogs all the time is the steam pipe on the back of the engine. If the coolant cant travle to the heater core the hose will never get hot. If you still read hot on the gage it is the steam pipe as well. The steam pipe is a big old bitch to deal with so start with the heater core and hope thats it.
