Default .060 over on an LT1 block

Found a block thats done .060 over and can get a good deal on it, I never really hear of anyone going more than .040, is this too much for an NA build? What about a little 100 shot?

I have heard .060 is too much for an lt1 block even NA, much less with nitrous

The only way to know for sure is to have any block sonic checked.

Maybe what I should have put was most people don't go more than .040 over because it starts to get kinda thin after that. Can you run a 0.60 yes but without the block being filled I don't see it lasting long with spray

It depends on the machine shop that did it. IF they did it right the sonic tested first.

If they did not they might have made it thin on one side.

I've had good luck so far with .060 over N/A LTXs. I can't say anything about how much nitrous they can take. As stated above, I think that good machine work would be a factor. I wouldn't buy any block that has already had work unless I was really sure about the shop that did the work.

Yeah you were trying to "help" him by repeating something you heard on the internet of which you have no first hand knowledge about.

I'd say he could do without that kind of "help".

And bring your rag on up here and race my slow pos. My zip code seperates the men from the boys, boy.

Wow gregrob you managed to **** some one off with one comment lol

Like stated before if the machine job took their time the .060 bore shouldn't be a problem hell i was thinking about going .060 since Dart isn't making their gib cubes LTX block.

It definitely runs faster than your 12.75. I mean really that's not that fast man. Also where are you located? I would love to show you up.

I was just saying to gregrob that my full bolt-on stalled auto with a 150 hit will easily beat his. I know my car isn't that fast but I mean really this guy is just a *****.
