1996 Corvette LT1 power issues.....
A few weeks ago I finished installing a 226/230 .565/.565 111 lsa cam. So I take the car to a dyno to see what gains I had made. To my disapointment I lost a ton of rwhp. Before the swap I had made 297rwhp with bolt ons. On this pull I only got 274 rwhp. I was told this cam should be in the 340 rwhp range +or- a few hp. I had a mail order tune and the AFR was off just slightly. I sent the PCM back and had that adjusted with the rest of the tune staying the same. Went to another dyno and the results were the same as before but with a correct AFR. Very little increase in rwhp. I've been told to degree the cam but the cam supplier says he's installed several of these cams and they were always right on spec with no changing necessary. I replaced the stock timing set with a Cloyes DR 3145 instaled straight up dot to dot. Installed a brand new GM opti. Comp Pro Mags 1.6 rr's, hardened push rods and guides plates, 7/16 rocker studs, new GMPP lifters, EWP, new plug wires, new 104 Autolite plugs, new coil, new ICM, checked and rechecked lifter preload. Rockers hit square in the center of the valve stem. Compression is a little high. I've been told this can be caused by an advanced cam. It ranged from 210 to 235 or various cylinders.
Any ideas on where to start?
Here is the dyno graph after the cam swap.
Here are some dyno pulls before the cam swap

How could I have installed it incorrectly? I guess you mean checking to make sure whether it's at the correct degree? Thanks

It is bad ain't it. I probably going to start with it anyway. Take it apart for a look see. I have my old one, if nothing else I can try it and see what happens before taking on the cam.
