Yeah, the Hurst shifter rocks, but adding the bronze shifter bushing brought it up to the next level. (Get it from thegearbox.org in MI)
Oh, and my Hurst ball is black, but only because they don't make a white one with a line-locks button!
I luv that chrome and white / old-school look!

Yeah I have a older hurst comp plus. Bought it new for 130 with a short stick and a black ball shifter ***. Loved it ever since. My bro has the B&M in his camaro and is wanting to sell it for a hurst. I have used the b&m and my complaint is that I almost run my fingers into the dash of the camaro if I am not careful. I find the hurst is leaned back while the B&M is more towards the front.

My car came with a PRO 5.0 and i HATE it. I have heard GREAT things about the MGW and Hurst Billet. I'm not sure which one ill get when the time comes.
I do believe my shift fork is bent now because of missing the 2-3 shift, because its getting worse and worse when i race.

Man, back when I was looking at getting a short shifter, my searches brought up an overwhelming approval for the Pro 5.0. I didn't go with it because everyone said they loved the notchiness. How can you love notchiness?
I wanted to get a hurst but couldn't find a used one (had a budget to play with) and hence decided to get the B&M.
Had it cut and rethreaded. I cut it a bit too much but it's still good. I used the Stock TA **** and it barely ever misses a shift.
It does do it, but it also depends on my arm/wrist movement, sometimes they just go out of whack.
MGW on my friends 96 Mustang is stiff and notchy *** hell. Maybe he somehow messed up the install or maybe it has to do with his tranny.
However, it does produce the right shifts.

I have the hurts pro billet and love it. Fingers for 2, 4, and 6. Palm for 3, and 5th. You wil never miss a gear. If you.....well then you just suck and need an auto and a straight line.
