I don't understand mail order tunes... it's like telling your doctor what's wrong with you over the phone and hoping he makes a correct diagnosis and sends you the right stuff.

no because *most* of the tunes are based on a dyno tune of a similar setup.

Bottom 13s without issue at an average track, average day, full weight car. That's what I'd expect, anyways. And keep in mind "average" everything in a full weight car. Clearly it has 12-second potential in the right conditions, especially with some weight reduction.

Agreed. Get a Nice 3000-4000 stall converter from a reputable company and get it tuned by mail or on a dyno I would say mail order personally. Then from there just hope for good conditions.

But an actual dyno tune is still better.

no ****??? you have boltons... you'd see very little gain over a mail order tune, probably not worth the cost of a dyno tune. end of story.

A dynotune would give you give you much better driveability/power than a hypertech programmer, and so would a mail order tune, although not quite as accurate.

Heck, you could plug a Gameboy into your PCM and get a better tune than using a hypertech programmer.

I believe that's what we're tryin to say here.

Mailorders work just fine for a bolt on car and **** even some bigger 383s are using them and it works great. You can make more power with a dynotune and atleast get a print out of what you have. But a mailorder will do the same thing and if not better sometimes. They have files of what works with what setups and send it over to you and its cheaper.
