The rotating assembly came today.

Still waiting on my cam. Also put in an order to summit for:
Canton Oil pan
Canton Pickup
Melling Select pump
ARP head bolts
.026 Mr gasket head gaskets

Im pretty excited to get it started. It will be interesting to drive that car with something a bit more radical then my old hotcam setup!

Thanks! Im hoping it to put down 415-450rwhp. The goal was to run low 11's, keep it a fun driver with a/c and have it reliable. Its been a lot of work, and my previous build of my 355 was nothing compared to this. There has been times where I just wanted to say F*** it put the motor in and not worry about the wiring harness, fuel lines, and abs. But Hopefully when this is all said and done I will be happy with the end result.

I fired it up yesterday. It runs. Theres a couple bugs that need fixing before the first road test. Its idling around 600-700 which I think is pretty low for what it is. This thing sounds great with a real fast rev.

I cant wait to drive it.

How did you tuck the wiring to the injectors/rail, like that? Looks nice!

I actually made a separate injector harness for it. The injectors harness now unplugs from the main harness. I did this So it makes it a breeze to remove the intake for future changes. The wires are wrapped in black electrical tape and ran behind the injectors. It turned out fairly well. Theres some issues with how I have the harness ran under the motor I need to address. But for the time being it will work!

Thanks for the compliment!

Well I had it tuned on friday. The numbers arent what they should be but it will work until I can get the other issues figured out. The car put down 388/381 unlocked. We couldnt get the converter to lock up and it wasnt reaching efficiency til around 5200.

I still have a miss up top from 5800-6100. Everytime it missed I dropped 50 horsepower.
I tried to cure this miss by switching ign modules, optispark, coil, crank sensor, plugs, and wires before hitting the dyno. The miss still remains Im lost on where to go next.

As I also switched to E85 on the run. I picked up 25 horsepower and 15 rwtq.

Im going to go to the track and run a few passes and figure out what my slip is through the traps. Then Ill address the converter issue.

Its a work in progress still, but until I can get pointed in a new direction on this miss. The car is a lost cause.

Heres one of the dyno videos. This was the worst pull as far as the miss goes. There were a few pulls where it only did it a couple times on the top end.

car sounds good with the exception of the miss! ive been fighting off a miss for awhile. it only comes in around 6k. and its only there for 2nd gear and up (6 speed) abunch of people suggest anything from the plugs to the PCM. did you check over your proprietary fuel injector harness ? maybe one of thems running alittle off due to to much resistance ?

Thanks for the recomendation and I will look into that. But I also had this issue with the harness as it was stock and with the old engine. Its been constantly the same miss around 6k and Ive been through:

2 optis
3 sets of plugs
2 sets of plug wires
2 crank sensors
3 ign modules
2 coils
2 pcms
and i have had 2 sets of injectors in the car

Everything looked good. Its a tough one. Now I have one under cruising speeds, so I need to check over plug wires again. Its odd though because it still revs clean to the top of 6-6200 even with the miss at cruising speeds.

How's that 8.8 coming?
