Default My winter build thread w/ pics

I figured Id make a thread on my winter "projects"

Project #1:

My hotcam 355 camaro went a best of 12.2 this year and will be running the LE2 setup for next year. Im going to tidy up the engine bay, and clean everything up nice.

Project #2: Earlier this year I purchases a 1995 trans am that was seized by the police. The interior was Gutted but it had several bolt ons and was a 6spd car. It cant be Registered again, so I bought a 1993 Firebird v6 car.

This car will be getting the Fresh rebuilt heads that were on my camaro, along with the hotcam.

Heres the progress Ive made so far, and some pictures of my swap canidate, and my camaro!

nice. Are you going to swap sideskirts and bumpers on the v6 car?

If not I'd sway just switch front bumpers and get a formula wing.

Heres some progress pictures from today.

Heres my 355, I pulled the cam out of it today to put in the motor removed from my T/A that will be going in the firebird.

This is the T/A that is the Donor car.

Later This winder Ill block the hood out and paint it for the firebird.

Im putting the milled heads that were on my camaro on this engine, and putting all new seals and gaskets in it.

Ill spend tmrw getting the engine ready for the swap. I plan on setting the engine in the firebird next weekend, if all goes right, hopefully I'll hear it fire!

...the "formula wing" is the same as the v6 man...id just take off the gay FIREBIRD emblems off the side and leave it blank...i'd leave the bumpers too, it'd just look like a formula, i dont much care for the lt1 trans am sideskirts/front bumper, formulas look much cleaner to me.

Thats exactly what I told him to do. But I think he wants to leave the firebird logo on the doors to help create that "sleeper" look

I plan on taking off the emblems, Installing the WS6 hood, and Possibly the T/A hatch I'm still undecided.

This car will be a little hard to get the sleeper affect with a hooker catback and a lope.
