Yes up to 02 as stated. the lt1-ls1 f-body maf is a 3wire. the newer lsx engines have a 5wire maf, wich incorporates the iat sensor into it.

i dont think lt1 and ls1 maf are the same. i think they are interchangable but the ls1 is a bit bigger. i put my buddies 02 ls1 maf in my car and has to open up the clap alot more to get his to fit.

The lt1 and ls1 f-body both have the same 3" 3wire maf. Maybe your buddy could of be running a 3.5" 85mm truck maf from a 5.3 or 6.0. A few
ls1 guys switch to those, since they are bigger and have the "good" tables in them, wich makes tuning a breeze...

So the trick is to get the truck 85mm maf not the Z06 85mm maf, does anyone have the "truck" 85mm maf part number this might help my new 383 breathe better?
