Default Egr delete plates

Hey I was wondering where I should get the plates to delete the egr, I found this on jegs http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/14905/10002/-1 but i was under the impression you need 3 different plates and some vacuum caps? does anyone know if that one from jegs is all 3 metal plates? I broke my passenger side air thing on the manifold trying to get my valve cover back on...... so i figure ill just delete all the crap now and later this winter get some LTs. so i was just looking for a site to order it from.

Thanks,

Russ

$25-30 for "billet aluminum" plates? give me a break.
Get a scrap piece of metal off the shop floor and drill two holes in it.

"The EGR block-offs help for a much cleaner burning engine and eliminates unwanted engine bay cluttered."

That's funny since my understanding of an EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) system is to help burn off unburnt fuel from the chambers and actually reduce exhaust emissions. It does this at the cost of performance by injecting hot, dirty air in with the nice cold clean intake charge........I guess I might be wrong though........

Seriously.

There's no reason to pay money for something that can be so simply made.

If you get aluminum ones make sure they are 3/8 thick, thin aluminum is not going to seal for long. Steel is fine but looks like crap and will rust. I have billet aluminum but if you want the cheapo route, just take the EGR apart and weld the hole where the valve is.

I've seen them priced as low as 10-12 bucks. That's not exactly breaking the bank. Assuming you don't have any of the necessary tools, or materials, to make your own, it's a nice alternative. But then again, perhaps some of us are simply idiots.

Enjoying my 10lb LT4 block off plate I ordered about a hundred years ago.
.. and just FYI there is only one plate that is needed on the intake. The EGR port only needs to be blocked off. Not the exhaust port that plumbs into the manifold.
