Who wants to convert to single plane???
I'm testing the waters right now to see if it would be financially worthwhile to me to sell my current Victor EFI single plane setup and swapover to a different larger single plane manifold (Super Victor)..... So I'm seeing if there is interest in someone buying a completely custom Victor EFI ready to bolt onto LT1 heads and go...... I have an accufab 4 barrel 4150 throttle body on it but this would work with an elbow and a single 90mm or whatever else you decide to throw on there..... I'd also be willing to possibly sell the nitrous system i currently use. It's a 2 stage dry Wilson Pro Flow plate system. capable of flowing 500-600hp... or as low as 100 if that's what you decide.... fits the 4150 manifold perfectly....
But i'm more concerned with seeing how many ppl are interested in the manifold....
As I said before it's a Edelbrock Victor EFI with edelbrock fuel rails. The manifold was converted to LT1 heads by Port Pros but they did a terrible job getting the holes lined up. CSM Racing Engines' Lance Clontz re-did the intake and has it lined up perfectly with standard intake gaskets that we use. The ports are lined up to the heads dead nuts perfect. Old holes have been welded over and smoothed and inside bolts use custom spacers that were fabricated to correct the different bolt angles for the LT1 heads. The inside of the manifold was ported and polished and it was an okay job. That wasn't good enough for CSMRE so it was redone and ported and polished to a Stage III setup.
Now onto the good part. The boys at CSM didn't like how the water neck looked on an LT1 that uses a front mount water pump so they did $500 worth of labor to the front of the intake cutting the neck off on a lathe, smoothing the aluminum out and then welding it all up and it now looks like the neck was never there. It's a work of art...... you'd honestly never think it had one..... this thing fits perfect and has done it's job wonderfully. We shift the car at 7300-7400 RPMS and the car made 811 RWHP on a 300 shot on the dyno. I have roughly 1200-1300 bucks in this intake and i'd be looking for a grand to sell it.....
To do a single plane you're gonna pay about 300 bucks for the intake, 90 for the rails, at least 200-300 to port/polish it and another couple hundred to convert it to LT1 heads..... that's a grand right there..... so you're getting the extra work for free to cut off the water neck and not having to wait 4 weeks for your intake hoping it will fit..... If someone wants to convert easily without all the drama let me know.....

Maybe it's just me, but I think he made it pretty obvious that he already had this unit installed and is now looking at getting a larger single plane intake for his set-up...

Damn that thing is nice looking. What else needs to be done to run a set up like that ?
you can either plug the rear hole and run an opti or you have the option of running a true rear mount distributor.... other than that nothing.....

The entire thing was ported... floor and runners ported and polished... about a 300-350 dollar port and polish job. Runners were ported then hand polished. ummm i'm not 100% sure how great it would be with stock heads cause the stockers are going to be your restriction not this intake.... It would certainly give you one of two things. Room to grow and the ability to run much bigger heads at a later date without starving them, or the ability to get a real ignition system and dump teh opti.
It's the ONLY setup for a high powered NA, nitrous, or supercharged, turbocharged setup.... I need bigger runners for a bit of increased airflow but more because the supervic gives me room for a fogger system...

intake
I too am wanting to go to a fogger system and wanting heads down the road. I dont want to pay to have a fogger plumbed twice even if i do not gain from the single plane intake now.

ive priced out this conversion and it really is worth what hes saying. i was over a grand without the intake being ported like his. i plan on sticking with stock ported castings for a long time so i wouldnt really benefit from it

dont think your going to pick up anything going to a super vic vs. what you have now
HOWEVER it can and has been done on this intake. Tony Shepherd had the same exact intake with a fogger on it so you can look at his site for pics of what it looked like with a DP setup on it.... I just chose a plate initially for cost and packaging. If you're really wanting to go for it you could do a plate AND a fogger...

hmmmmmm... could be the heads too.... if you're running say 227's and the manifold is feeding all the air that they can handle then you won't see any gains.....
but slap on some say 235's and airflow requirements go up and you might see some power increase.... I think a Vic E will flow just about as much air as a 227 head needs...
I just want the longer runners for an easier install for a 2 stage DP system...
