Default New Golan 383

Santa arrived early this year and dropped me a nice present. It is going to be a fun winter here in Minnesota.

Man I must be on the naughty list or something. All I'm getting for Christmas are some big *** rust holes on my driver's floor pan.

The only info I could find about them looked pretty good?

The motor is built to handle some boost, I was thinking of a D1SC @ about 8 lbs.

I am going to go from the bottom, this is my first time. They broke it in on the dyno, it pulled 467 fwhp @ 5800 and 455 tq @ 5100. I am thinking about having a local shop chassis dyno it.

Yea it was good, my wife didn't even get mad when I asked if I could buy it.

Nice gift. I think Golen Engines are pretty reputable. If I'm not mistaken, one of the cars in the LTX shootout is running one from Golen Engines.

Thank you

Hey Z-RATED94 nice looking car, what size are those rear tires?

I have been having a hard time with putting a different engine in that this car because it is so clean but have come to the conclusion that i will probably never sell it anyway. I figure at 51 now when I'm feeling to old to drive it one of the grandson's will be ready for it.
Thanks
Brad

Brad, the tires for some reason look a little bigger than they should in the picture. Their MT drag radials, 275/50/15. The car inself has 32k on it, and I have a few years on you too. Good to see another older gearhead on LS1TECH.
What compression ratio are you at that you might put a D1SC on it?

9.8:1 compression ratio, I was told that 8lbs would be safe on it. I am thinking that I would run it like this for a year or two first.
