I just purchased a set with the comp CNC package. I think I will be the first to have them on a LT1. Should be up and running in about 4-6 weeks hopefully. Intake will be a Super Vic. converted for EFI.

These heads flow 340 cfm and mid lift numbers are insane! You better have large cubes and plan to spin it high for these to work.

I was loling at the LT1 in the water comment. It's just like 'jumbo-shrimp' - total oxymoron.

I was reading about those in a performance mag earlier this month, I'm very anxious to see what they do on an LT1.

yes me aswell and yes an LT1 396 with these heads in the water in a 15 foot jet boat. and i would convert ignition to LS1. the boat would weigh like 4hundred pounds less with this set up as opposed to the BB 402 in it now. Its already scary now.... just weight ill get some pics up

In a 15ft. boat? That's gotta be a rush. I'm not familar with jet drives, do you have a rpm limit like an outdrive?

well no but you want and extremely flat torque curve. your rpms are only limited by your pump and bowl type. Ive got a b type impelar i really dont need crazy rpms. i really likes these heads they have awsome midrange flow which would be sweet.

joe sherman built an engine with these about a year ago think it was in hot rod mag.

Have seen other results with them too..... all I can say is they are bad ***. Wish I had a set.

But dont get too cought up on flow num, bers and big CC running that head on alot of stuff would slow it down. I feel its a more race oriented head.

well you see the great midrange numbers with a good cam grind would equal anwsome torque horspower combo..

I dont recall AFR making a 235 for an LT1. The biggest is a 227cc head that flows in the 33x cfm range.

The 227 flows in the 32x range and yes that is the largest head they make for LT1. However....you can get a 235 and convert it to fit a LT1. People take Dart and Brodix SBC heads all the time and convert them to fit LT1's. I do think AFR will eventually make them for the LT1.

I have been throwing around the idea of a new top end in my head. I would also like to see some numbers on these heads. When you say spin it high. How high are you talking about?
